Planning a Toddler’s Birthday Party

Some people think it’s crazy to plan an elaborate party for a baby or toddler, I kind of agree, but I love planning parties. So despite the comments from my husband saying I’m crazy putting so much time and effort into a party our child won’t remember, I go all out!

For our son’s first birthday party, it was Eric Carle themed because my kiddo loved The Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. This year, we’re planning a construction themed party as my little guy loves all vehicles, especially tractors and trucks!

As I’ve said before, I have a touch of OCD and the party will be in 2 months so I need to get started on things. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on decorations that we’ll only use once so I do everything I can DIY.

Like I do for everything these days, I’ve been hunting for cool ideas on Pinterest and have found loads of things I want to do! Our home is going to be transformed into a construction site for a day! I can’t wait.  I’m going to make cardboard construction signs to go down the driveway and I want to make a cool photo booth. I’ve narrowed it down to the pictures below. I’m definitely going to have the props for people to use, like in the last photo but can’t decide how to do the actual booth. Which one do you like best?
